Vladimir Komaro was a Soviet cosmonaut, test pilot, engineer among first group of cosmonauts selected in 1960. His mission aboard Soyuz 1 made him the first man to fly into outer space more than once, and he became the first human to die during a spaceflight when the Soyuz 1 space capsule failed to deploy it's parachute on April 24, 1967.

NSA listening station near Istanbul Turkey intercepted radio transmissions by Komarov where he cursed the engineers and flight staff, and spoke to his wife as he descended towards his death. Below is a segment of that recording ...
