Stanislaus Grzeskowiak, 36, was arrested without incident, according to troopers, who on Sunday posted a notice about the arrest on the agency’s activity log. Grzeskowiak was arrested on a charge of extortion and is being held at Fairbanks Correctional Center. The trooper report states Grzeskowiak attempted to extort $85,000 from the state “in exchange for not committing several acts of terrorism which Grzeskowiak believes would have affected oil companies, credit card companies, cell phone companies, the University of Alaska and the Alaska State Trooper’s ability to conduct day to day operations.
